Excellent value for money with superb food and friendly service. Wife & I stayed one night - Thursday 20th May in room 11 (twin room) this room due for refurbishment - hence the special deal for B&B (£50) but the room was fine, second floor with wonderful views of Dartmoor and Plymouth Sound. Cannot fault the Moorland; would certainly recommend this hotel at this price. (Evening meal in the Phoenix Restaraunt- superb and reasonably priced) Thankyou Moorland.

The hotel offered very good value for money. Without exception, the staff were friendly and welcoming and the inclusive breakfast was excellent. The views from the window are stunning and moorland sheep and ponies frequently come into the grounds.
An "easy chair" in the room would have been welcome although there are plenty down in the Bar.
